[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work in the medical field and am washing my hands many times throughout the day, so I appreciate any polish that lasts longer than 1 day! This polish/topcoat combo lasts 5-6 days with extreme hand washing which is amazing. I have shorter nails, so I'm not sure if it would last as long with a longer nail length. The only negative about this polish is that it doesn't have much of a "puffy" texture like traditional gel polish from the salon. I personally like the puffiness and think it looks a bit more polished. This color is a great neutral without being too pink or beige - the perfect in-between. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all Essie nail polish! I received the color Princess Charming in my Finesse VoxBox. It's a really pretty pink and looks very natural on my nails. The brush is wider so it fits your whole nail and it's easy to apply. You only need one coat for the perfect color but you can use more if you want. The gel couture is very shiny and looks like a gel manicure you'd get at a nail salon. It lasts a long time and doesn't chip like most nail polishes. It glides on so smoothly and looks amazing. Essie is my favorite nail polish brand and I'm so happy it was in my box! I received this product free from Influenster for testing purposes.

Outstanding polish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a fan of Essie, but this was my first time trying the gel couture line. The color was fabulous on my fair skin. I love the mauvy pink hue. It's appropriate for work but still fun. The brush was a tad big as most nail polish brushes are for my petite nails, but I make I think work. The polish did not need two coats, but I feel has last longer when I use two. I feel like I am wearing a gel manicure! Definitely want to use the gel top coat to get the most shine and longevity out of it. I am so thankful o have received this free from influenster finesse box box to test out as I am starting to get back into the beauty world after becoming a mommy.

I am not a huge nail polish kind of girl but after using this I think I might start actually wearing it. The color glided on so pigmented and it wasn’t streaky like most nail polishes. You also don’t have to dip your brush in 1 million times to get the color to show up really well on your nail. I only used one coat! I am also not the most talented when it comes to apply nail polish and it was very easy to use this I look like I walked out of the nail shop. I am living for my nails right now!

Most other nail polishes chip within a day or two, but with the gel polish and top coat, my nails stay looking good for at least a week. It also dries really quickly, which I love!
The color I tried, “princess charming,” is a light pink color, in fact, very close to my skin color, but I actually really liked it, as it wasn’t too bold and looked very professional for work. *received product free for testing, which in no way affected my review of the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally I have such a hard time doing my own nails at home. The polish goes on too thick and looks streaky and sometimes lumpy. Then it doesn’t dry properly. Some spots just stay wet and gummy no matter what I do. Essie’s Gel Couture polish applies beautifully and dries so quick. I had no lumps, streaks, or gummy feeling. I didn’t even have to use two coats. It went on super smoothly. Then the top coat just set it off and made it look like I had my nails done at the salon. One tip I do recommend is to prep your nails beforehand by cleaning them with a non-acetone nail prep like alcohol. It helps prevent chipping and flaking.

And what’s better? I got this beautiful nude/pink color just in time for valentine’s day! My initial reaction was entrigue. The bottle is so unique and fun and immediately draws your attention. I will say, I was leery about the color because usually light pink colors take tons of coats just to get the color to show. But nope! Not this one. Just two coats and I got perfect just-from-the-salon coverage and shine. I am so thrilled with this product and will definitely be suggesting this to my friends and will most certainly be purchasing other colors.

Love this nude natural color

The real reason I love the gel couture line is that it is salon quality that I can do at home. I had enough time to put two coats of color and top coat on before feeding my infant this morning (and that’s saying a lot). The brush is super easy to use and apply color evenly. I do not like the regular essie brush but the couture line is a way better brush! This color in particular is just enough coverage yet very professional. I’m so glad I received this product! I’m terrible at applying nail polish on myself, and so I no longer buy it! I tried out this nail polish and the applicator brush applies it so smooth and evenly. It dries pretty quick and I did 2 coats of color and one coat of top coat paint. The color I received is Princess Charming. It's a really pretty pink and looks very natural on my nails. The bottle is so unique and fun and immediately drew in my attention. I normally don't wear nail polish because I work with my hands and the nail polish only last for a few hours before they start chipping. But with this nail polish they actually lasted for a decent amount of time for me! They lasted for 3 days before the ends started to chip. I was impressed! I applied only one coat of color for the perfect look but you can add more coats if needed. It dries fairly fast also! I definitely am going to go out and buy some more colors!

At first I was a bit skeptical as to how it would look with my extremely light complexion but after the application, I was pleasantly surprised. This color would most likely look great with any skin tone. This polish has a very creamy, fast drying formula that is fun and easy to work with. I have yet to experience any chipping and I've been wearing the same application for almost a full week. If you pair this polish with the gel Top Coat, I assure you that you will get a lovely outcome. The only thing that caused me to give it a 4 out of 5 stars was that I think it's just slightly overpriced for the amount you get. Still a great product overall.

Unfortunately it only lasted three days with minimal use of my hands, one night of cooking dinner and washing my hands and all my fingers are chipped. I used the Essie Gel top coat with it, and followed the instructions on the Essie website. I love this color but hopefully I can find a way to get it to last a little longer, may be good on a vacation where you don't use your hands for anything. I received this product free for testing.

The application was very easy, it dried quickly with a glossy finish that smoothed over my nail plate nicely. I'm not a fan of the shape of the brush but with time i am sure it is easier to use. The color itself isn't my usual cup of tea but it photographed so well and looked great on my complexion! Overall this is definitely an excellent product for nail art lovers.

I wasn't really expecting to like it, because I've used other no lamp gel polishes in the past and was unimpressed with them. This stuff however, is so easy to use. It glides on effortlessly and sets real quick. This is important to me, because I do not have steady hands and do not graciously paint my nails. I was able to paint them, use the top coat and not even smudge them, because they dried so fast. My only complaint I had was that I feel that this color was a little wrong for skin tone. I wish it had been just a touch darker. However, for jobs where you have to keep your nails natural or neutral looking, this is great way to add a small pop of fun. I think it will be remarkable on fake nails, which i intend on trying because i currently have little stubs.

After doing the dishes and washing my hair ihave not notcied fading cracking or chipping of my nails. A miracle if I do say so myslef. Not to mention the colour is perfect for everyday wear.

I LOVE the color even though I think it’ll probably look better in the summer when my skin is a littler tanner ;) I don’t know if I’m crazy or not, but it seemed like this polish dried quicker than any other polish I’ve used, so I love that! I’m used to applying multiple coats (at least 2) on my nails but the way this color is, I didn’t think it was necessary (I still used two coats just to be safe, but you definitely don’t have to). The brush is wider than others I’ve used which is great because it covers most of your nail with one stroke. A lot came out on the brush too so I didn’t have to dip it a lot either. I got this polish for free in my voxbox from Influenster and I think it’s safe to safe, I’ll defintely be buying more Essie gel polishes in the future.

Slaying Dragons with this Princess Charming Color!

Princess Charming is the nude color everyone has come to love with perfect undertones of mauve. GORGEOUS! It has all of the gel benefits without the excessive cost, and no UV curing lights! It was ultra easy to apply, high gloss, and had maximum coverage with just one coat.
I even hand washed dishes with these twice and there was not a chip in sight! That's real dependability!
I wish that Essie's price point were a bit more obtainable for people who do not have a large beauty budget, but I could definitely see myself buying some to use for a special occasion.
Pro Tip: I use my hair dryer on the high - cool setting for several minutes between layers to make sure that I have a solid foundation to paint on. It helps to not smear or create any chunkiness.

The quality of the polish was only ok (the topcoat is much better). I thought the application was a little goopy ... had the lines from the brush in it. Two coats *mostly* had me covered, but not completely.

Love the color!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these products free from Influenster for testing purposes!
First, I loved the color. It’s a great mauve! The brush was wide and allowed for full coverage! It wasn’t streaky at all even between coats! I think this formula is thicker than the non-gel products. It has great shine and is still going strong on my toes after two weeks of wear. Definitely would try more colors!
