I use this on it's own or underneath and on top of colour nail polish. It helps bond the polish to the nail and leaves them with a nice glossy finish that lasts for days. I like that it's infused with Argan Oil.

Great all rounder all In one polish, great as base coat and top coat also just great as a clear polish if you wished to wear it as that.
It gives a great top coat sheen nice subtle.
But I do find that particular polish quite strong smelling.

Really nice finish to nails, leaves them with a nice glossy finish. Kept nails chip free for over a week. Great size and not much needed for good coverage.
Would be nice as a clear coat on its own also.

I applied it to my nails first as a base coat and I could tell right away it made my nails look so smooth. Then I applied the beautiful Essie polish in Mademoiselle followed by the ALL IN ONE polish again. My nails looked amazing!! They had an incredible shine and looked as if I had them done at the salon. Since I've done my manicure, my nails have grown and are so strong. I'm in a lot of water and this polish has helped my nails so much. They don't bend as easily and break like before. I love the results and will continue to use this polish . I definitely recommend it to all my family and friends.

It's a yes for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this all in one base/top coat nail polish, boy am I glad I did. The shine it gives is superb, super glossy. I've had it on for the past four days and the shine still looks new like it I just painted my nails. I put two coats for the base, I let it dry which was fairly quick, then I painted my nails two coats as well. Once my nails dried I put two coats on top, all together this took about 10-15 minutes. I loved how nice & shiny my nails looked and I loved how quickly they dried after I polished them. This was a great investment I'll never go back to any other base and/or top coat brand. Essie all in one is the only way to go for me.

I love that I can use it as a base coat, top coat and it nourishes nails all at the same time. I used as directed by applying a layer as a base coat and letting it dry. It dried fairly quickly and had a nice shine to it. I like that it evened the appearance of my nails before applying polish. I next applied two layers of Essie polish and let dry completely before adding the top coat. It has a really lovely shine and dries hard. I love that it gives my nails a manicured look, excellent quality! I would definitely recommend this product and will purchase in the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product a couple weeks ago and am so happy to have found an All-In-One that works. I love a good nail base and top coat that actually work. But to have a nail base, top coat and a strengthener in ONE product that actually do their job is truly amazing. I typically find products make claims that aren’t true but Essie’s all-in-one really does the job. The polish goes on in a thin smooth layer and dries within 30 seconds. It leaves a shiny finish. I did not notice any bubbling, peeling or tackiness.
It’s great to have 1 product that will replace 3 products (base, top coat and strengthener) to keep my nails looking great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a sucker for a good all in one product. I love them even more when they are good quality and work. This is a great all in one product for your nails. I applied it as directed and paired it with an Essie nail color and I had no chips. This made for a great base coat that made it very easy to apply color. As a topcoat it made my nails very tough to withstand all of the wear and tear I put on them. It also provided a lot of shine. My nails looked like they had been done at the salon. One thing I always love about Essie polishes is their brushes. They have the best brushes for easy application of polish and this was no exception.

That being said I've never been really picky about my nail polish either. However after trying out this Essie all-in-one top & base coat Plus strengthener, along with Essie nail lacquer in the color of mademoiselle 112 I'm hooked! I applied the top/base coat along with the color as directed on the box and wow! It's a smooth glide, Dries super fast and is just as shiny as can be. After a couple Of days I've really noticed the strength of my nails as well. Which is awesome being that some on my nails have gotten pretty long. Very good product in my opinion.

A Staple for Me

I love this product. I actually had to run around and search for it when local stores stopped stocking it because other products just won't do for me. Unlike other topcoats, this is totally clear and does not change the colour (some polishes are yellowish). Texture marks mean your nails were not dry and bubbles mean your nails were oily. This goes for any nail polish- I asked a nail technician & have applied this myself and always get expected results. You should also put polish on cold, it'll dry way faster. And don't overload. This product lets me have unblemished colour for 10-12 days, unlike any other products I've used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be honest I didn't have high expectations with the essie all in one top and base coat, I thought it was just another one of the bunch, however when I used it I realized that it is not! For starters it is not oily and it sets and dries quickly on the nails, it has the appearance of a nail polish, but better because it helps to fix the nail polish better, because it does not contain formaldehyde it does not make my nails yellow which has happened to me in the past. On the other hand it also fixes the nail polish as it does not fall off in pieces, it remains fixed even though I did household activities (washing dishes, cleaning, cooking), it is really very good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This really is all in one. If it was colored or would be perfect. I applied this before the color and after the color like the directions explained. I let the first coat dry for at least 20 minutes before applying the color coat. I don't think it needed that long to cure but it didn't hurt. I did wait quite awhile for the color to cure and then added the top coat. Entire process was about an hour. I wore this coat for about a week before it started coming off. I think it would have lasted even longer if I wasn't so hard on my hands. Lots of dishes and cleaning. They held up really well for the first few days of abuse. I will be using this again and again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Essie all in one polish. I used to always have polish on my toes, but with the work I do it is hard to have any on my fingernails. By using Essie all in one as the base coat and the top coat, the polish I applied lasted several days longer than other products have tried before. After base coat, I applied 2 coats of polish as the instructions said, then top coat of the all in one, and had great result. I especially liked how the bottle is constructed making it easy to hold, and the applicator brush glides on nail nicely and result was nice even application. I really loved the mademoiselle 112 color Essie has too!
I would definitely tell my family and friends to try this.

Perfect for Me!

The packaging was basic but the bottle of polish was a great size and is easy for traveling with in your purse or overnight bag. The scent of the polish was pleasant. I used this polish as a base coat, before applying my gel nail polish and as a top coat once I was finished. My toes remained polished for at least a week without any cracking. I also used this polish as a regular clear polish for my fingernails and it made them look cute and healthy. The polish was very glossy and stood out. It didn't take long for it to dry and I really liked it.

this polish is brilliant i use it for my top coat it leaves a beautiful shiny and glossy layer at the same time protecting the colour underneath i feel it keeps the colour on alot longer than with out it its beautifully packaged looks great really easy to use with a nice brush for all round coverage I wouldn't be without it will definitely have it again I would recommend to family and friends

Long lasting no chips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great! I usually struggle with chipping and peeling, this has lasted a week without peeling. The strength and bond of the base/top coat holds the polish in place. I used it with the same brand of nail polish as the base/top coat. After about 4 days the top coat starts to lose its shine, but my nails were still painted with color. I also used this on my 9 year old daughter who usually peels her polish off quickly, it has stayed on her and she has not been able to pick it off. Overall the bond is great and it lasts quite well.
I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

I’m happy with the size of the bottle and the design of the bottle. Doing the job

I have applied a few times this week. Have recently had gels taken off so nails are brittle and breaking quite short. My nails look super shiny with it on (just using on its own) and I have to say they do feel stronger. Shall continue to use and give my nails a break from any other products and see if this goodness continues. Looking good so far.

I love this two in one base and top coat from Essie. It works well and is easy to use. Dries quickly and lasts a long time. Infused with argan oil.
I absolutely love this all in one nail polish.It is my go to when ever I just want to to make my nails look fresj. I have not found a polish that dries faster. It has a beautiful shine to it after or dries. And I find it lasts longer than most nail polishes I use.
the only I don’t like about this product is peel off more fast than the regular base and top coat.

I used this product as a base coat, then applied 2 coats of essie polish leaving about 20-30 minutes before coats to avoid any accidents since I was doing my nails for a very especial occasion and wanted them to be perfect. Applied this all-in-one product as top coat on the final step. I let them dry for at least 3 hours and went to sleep, I woke up with the texture of my sheets imprinted on my nails. My nails look horrible, darker, and dull. I HATE that I spent so much time last night trying to get my nails perfect for my special day, for this horrible product to ruin them entirely.

No matter how much time I free up to focus on doing my own nails at home though, they just never come out anywhere near as well as they do in the salon even though we're both using Essie polishes. I never really understood why, but now I realize that the key is the BASE COAT! I attached pictures, and I know my nails don't look perfect (I'm not a professional) but trust me they look a million times better than my at home manicures usually do! The base coat smoothes out the nail, and in the spirit of efficiency, I'm thrilled that this base coat doubles as a top coat. I will buy the Essie all-in-one over and over and over again.

Saved my nails

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a gel manicure for a recent trip and by the end I had peeled off all the color. Well this left my nails looking pretty rough and weak. I got this product and thought maybe it would help. I genuinely surprised at how just one coat made my nails feel better (less exposed) and then 2 coats made them look like I didn’t commit the cardinal manicure sin at all! My nails look shiny and healthy and after 2 days now they feel stronger. I entirely recommend this if you did what I did or are just looking for a conditioning and maintenance treatment as it has Aegean oil in it.

Smudges even after hours of drying time

I love almost every single Essie product I've tried. The All in One glaze works well for me as a base coat, but I've had smudges every time I've used it as a top coat. I've tried it with 2, 4, and 6 hour drying time and still have a problem - even after letting 2 very thin coats of polish and 1 thin coat of All in One dry for 6 hours, I still had smudges, dents, or nicks in the polish. I bought this product when my local store was out of Gel Setter (which never leaves me with smudges). I will continue to use this as a base coat, but will go back to Gel Setter for a top coat.

I like that it’s a very simple process that I can do at home instead of going to a salon. You apply one coat of Essie All-In-One then apply two coats of one of the Essie colors that you like, lastly apply one more coat of Essie All-In-One then you’re finished. I like that one of its purpose is to strengthen your nails. It’s infused with argan oil which helps give a high glossy look to your nails. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants salon quality nails but don’t want to pay the salon prices.

Takes forever to dry

I bought this a week ago and was so excited for one product to have 2 uses. I will start off by saying, it does make my polish last about a week, BUT it takes forever to dry and then is still easy to mess up. I put the top coat on around 8 at night and went to bed around 11. I woke up to my nails looking like they had a matte finish and have the texture of my sheets. I was incredibly careful not to do anything that would mess them up before I went to bed. It's just frustrating and then incredibly hard to get off to try to fix the texture issue. I probably won't buy again.

What a product the Essie - all in one is. From the moment it was applied it was a game changer. Easy application, shiny and quick dry. What a wonderful idea of making it a base coat and a top coat. It maintains it’s shininess along with protection. When I say protection I mean that it prevented my fingernails from splitting which is something I have always dealt with but not this time. I am so impressed with this Essie product. It was so refreshing to be able to do my own manicure and it turn out good. Definitely strengthens and protects your nails. Perfect product

Bought this a few months ago and have been using it often but have stopped because it is just impossible to get right sometimes. It makes bobbles no matter how careful I am being and it dries so slowly no matter how things the coat is. I am careful to let the Polish dry really well before doing anything but when I look at my nails maybe an hour after I already have dents in the Polish. I will not be using it as a base or top coast anytime soon. The only thing I use it for now is just to give a really think coat of shine to my nails, but even that is not to great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Essie All-in-One adds incredible, eye-catching shine. As a top coat, it really smoothed out any nail polish mistakes to create a very smooth and shiny finish. However, it would be helpful if some general guidelines were given as to how long someone needs to wait for product to be considered fully dry after applying. I used it 2 different times. Even though the finish felt dry, I was surprised how much wore off and smeared as I went back to my regular routine. I didn't wait very long, so that is probably part of the reason. My advice is to let All-in-One dry longer even after it feels dry. If you do, you'll get a really shiny finish. I do like the product, so I will continue to use and keep adding to the time I let fully dry.

I recently has some nail damage and have had to keep them very short. In the process of growing them out I have been wearing just this all in one Essie and my nails have positively regained some of their strength and have started to grow out and looked healthy. It also give a nice smooth base to put other colors on and makes a nice shiny top coat that seems to make the color last longer. I really like the brush on this and am able to use it without making a mess

Great results. Unfortunately I don't last much, because of house cleaning and other chores and food preparing, I'm very handy around the house. But this one lasted a whole 3 days, haha. That is GREAT actually. I fixed the nail and lasted 2 more. Not bad for a drug store brand. It's not gel and it's not trying to be of course, but I wish, I WISH, it could last a bit longer. Still, overall I'm satisfied.

Does not dry or harden within reasonable time

I used it as you would any other base & top coat. 1 layer as base, 2-3 coats of nail polish, 1 layer top coat. Left time between coats to dry - not more than I would for any other polish. It would remain sticky for up to 2 hours and just when it feels like it has hardened, you find out it was just settled into a thick gel instead of actually hardening. As some of the reviews have pointed out, it will only harden after a good night's sleep in which case any dents or marks would have already settled in. Are we to believe that this polish requires a full 8-hour dry time? This was such a sad purchase. Interesting, considering Essie has such a good reputation for nail polish. I'd be weary to try any of their other base & top coats going forward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great top coat! It kept my polish looking perfect for over a week. This is an amazing difference compared to what I have used in the past. It also has a wonderful shine. Almost glassy in appearance.
As a top coat this is absolutely 5 star worthy. As a base coat, it’s a little less effective. Perhaps my nails weren’t the best to test on, I had a gel manicure that was removed poorly about a week before I used this stuff, and it damaged my nails. You could see the small divots left behind through the base, two coats of polish, and the top coat. That being said, my nails sometimes have slight ridges, very slight, and these weren’t visible through the layers.
Definitely try this stuff, it’s well worth it! Essie knows what’s up!

I especially love this All-In-One base coat and top coat. I find that the color lasts A LOT longer when I use this versus when I don’t. It’s worth making the extra effort to use it as base coat and top coat because your nails stay prettier in the long run. Overall, a must-have of you are the kind to do your nails at home. Heck, I’d even bring this to the nail salon and have them use it on me. It’s that great!

So I have always had good nail health. They grow quick and mostly strong. But I'm just bad with maintaining them.
Whenever I colour my nails, it always leave a colour stain behind, so I thought it was time to invest in a base coat.
I've used Essie before so it was my first choice and bonus it's a base and top coat.
Having used it, the colour I had didnt stain my nails and also the varnish lasted longer than it did without. My nail start to chip in a labour 2 days.
Really worthwhile purchasing and would definitely recommend to others.

I had never heard of this range before I tried this varnish. I am so impressed. I was mostly drawn to the care factor of the varnish. It contains Argan Oil to help strengthen the nails. I used it for this purpose only and I am so impressed with the results. It instantly provided my nails with a smooth, glossy finish. It stayed on very well and is still in place a few days on. Most of all I have noticed that my nails have grown without flaking. I intend to purchase some coloured nail varnish in this range, to use with this base/top coat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried the Essie All-In-One Base Coat + Top Coat + Strengthener Nail Polish. Love that this is an all in one! I tried it on 2 of us. I couldn't get the pink coat to stay on well or have the layer "smooth looking" however, using these colors on another family member it was absolutely beautiful. Haven't used this long enough to say whether or not this strengthen my nails. However, if you were to wear this alone as a clear polish, you may need to put more than 2 coats on. I used 3. Either way, love that it's not made with harsh chemicals.

The thought of having to use a different base coat from my finishing coat makes me not even want to do my nails. Essie always makes it easy!
This is perfect consistency which gives it the full coverage in minimum passes, but it’s not so thick that it takes an eternity to dry.
Painting my nails always seems like a spur of the moment decision and the dry time doesn’t keep me sitting, waiving my hands to dry my nails for an eternity. Love this!
