Good quality, basic color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So first off I got the wrong color, super excited thinking it was a pigmented pale pink.. I was wrong. It’s very sheer so it looks just like a clear coat. So, disappointed in the color but also my fault. The quality on the other hand, I’m quite amazed. I painted my toe nails over a week ago and they are still in PERFECT condition. Mind you, I wear hard toed shoes to work every day and I normally don’t even paint my toenails because it usually starts chipping after a day or two. This magically did not! So. Dry impressed there. Also just over all loved the style of the bottle and it had a great brush! I received this product free from Influenster

Not a fan of sheers personally

However, if you like sheers I think you would really enjoy this one! When applying it, the polish levels itself really well so it isn't splotchy or uneven. I applied 4 coats to get a more milky pink color and I really like how it looks! My dad (who knows nothing about polishes) even complimented how glossy my nails were. With the essie gel couture top coat, my nails are going strong without chips for over a week! I think I'm going to go buy other shades in this line because I've never had a polish last this long on my nails!

I have been anxiously awaiting the Essie Gel Couture polish and I selected this color because I really love beautiful sheer colors that can go with everything. I was pleasantly surprised by the quickness in drying and the color did not disappoint! I applied 2 coats of color and 2 coats of the top coat and within a few minutes I was able to move on with my life. I am a busy body so this no light gel is amazing for me. It lasted more than a week, and I'm sure it would have lasted longer but I chose to remove it. Removal was also simple with just my regular nail polish remover. No soaking or extra invasive filing needed!

I have been using this polish weekly for at least 3 months and have not been disappointed. It stays on with absolute perfection for 5-6 days. The seventh shows some chipping, but because the color is so close to my nail color it doesn’t show wear. I have never received so many compliments and I polish my nails myself. In addition, my nails are growing so well, that I have to file them to get my preferred length. I would like to try a whiter color like, Dress Is More, but was unable to find it. Application is easy with the brush style and it dries faster than any other polish I’ve ever used. I used 3 coats plus top coat.

Sheer fantasy review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I received this complimentary in a voxbox from influenster. I think it was very easy to use, I liked the brush alot because I've never been very good at painting my nails, I always make a mess but it came out smooth and dried fast. It was alittle too sheer for my liking , it's not as pink as it looks in the picture, I might try doing three coats but I didn't really like the color but I like the polish itself. I'm curious to see how it holds up because I do alot of dishes and usually my polish chips at the end of the first day,but I have high hopes for this brand because I've heard really good things about it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Personally, I am not a fan of sheer nail polish and this is indeed sheer, as described. My disappointment comes from the duration the polished stayed before starting to chip; I have regular polish that lasts longer. I had to remove after the 4th day because my nails looked so bad. I will say when first applied it truly looks like a gel finish and it does not get creased or scratched after it's set (I applied right before bed). I also LOVE the brush they used in their bottles, it makes application so easy. I did receive this as a complimentary product and am giving my honest review.

Beautiful, natural shine - great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This polish glides on easily because of the formula and shape of the brush, And the final look is very gel-like - I’m super impressed! I was able to get two coats on fairly quickly as it has a short drying time, and the finish is a beautiful, sheer, SHINY pink! I’ve tried a lot of polish, and I love the look of this on my nails. The consistency is a bit hard to judge as this is one of the sheer colors, but I didn’t notice any streaking. Overall a great product! I did receive this product free for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own and 100% honest.

What's not to love?

First of all, a complete gorgeous shiny manicure (3 coats) in 5 minutes! Second of all, seriously durable. A day after my first Gel Couture manicure I decided to paint a table, conveniently "forgetting" (i.e., not bothering) to protect my nails first. Even after prep, painting, and lots of washing up (including literally scrubbing green flecks off my nails) they still looked freshly manicured. I just ordered two more colors, though this one (Sheer Fantasy) is a beautiful basic. Already a huge Essie fan but this product really raises the bar.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used Essie before and I always love the colors and quality of them. First and foremost the brush is AMAZING! You can get most nails with just one swipe the way the brush conforms to the nail! This means painting in half the time! Only downside was the color payoff... it was too sheer... I ended up having to do 4 coats to get it to resemble the color in the bottle but by then it starts to take on a white pink color... not a fan. Upside my nails did look great! Everyone thought I got my nails done in a salon which they thought was weird because I NEVER get my fingernails done in a salon! Great look! Thankfully I was able to be introduced to this new brush and color by receiving it to try in my Vox Box. I can’t wait to try a different color with this brush!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got this nail polish in the mail to try it out and I own over 20 of the regular nail polish by Essie because I love that they dry super fast and have every color especially my pastel colors those are my go to nail polish. So I just tried this gel couture for The first time and let me just say I am very impressed because they look like I got my nails done at the salon. The nail polish is thick and with one layer you get a good thick consistency and super fast drying. I love it I can’t wait to try other colors.

Super subtle shade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product and the top coat for free in exchange for my honest review thanks to Influenster. This was my first time doing a home gel manicure that didn't require a curing lamp so it was a little nerve wracking to know when they were dry. I did 2 coats and this color is super super subtle- next time I will probably do 3 for a more noticeable color. Went on very easy- not thick like some gel products. Also not too smelly. Dried quickly. The brush shape makes getting an even, well applied coat very easy and since the color is so sheer it's very forgiving. Just feels like regular polish on my nails- not heavy or thick like a salon gel or other at home gels like Jamberry that I have used. Seems to be holding up okay- definitely better than nail polish so far!

Sheer fantasy- nice sheer but not durable

I just started wearing nail polish so the gel line seemed like a good option to start. I used “Sheer Fantasy” which definitely was sheer but pretty. The nail polish has started shrinking and chipping after two days of application. I previously had my nails painted with Essie’s “Bordeaux” regular polish and it lasted longer than the gel! I’ve been more gentle on this polish than the other (recovering from surgery) so it definitely does not hold up. I will go back to regular polish after this experience.

Good polish, not a good color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this was a great polish. It stayed on in shape for a couple weeks, just like a gel manicure should. However, I was not a fan of the shade of pink. It looks darker than it actually is. It's the same shade as my actual nails, so it didn't look like I was wearing anything, which I personally disliked. The light color also started to show dirt after about a week; I feel like this could have been prevented with a darker color.

I usually don’t do my nails because it takes too much time and I am a busy mama, but this was quick and easy. It gives off a gel appearance with not nearly as much work as gel polish. The shade is a pretty pink that compliments my skin tone and so far it has stood the test of caring for a seven month old who loves to play with and chew his mama’s hands.

It’s the perfect shade of light pink and looks sheer and neutral, yet it’s not over the top. It actually looks a lot less pink than the picture here. In addition, it lasts a lot longer than regular Essie colors. Reality is that regular polish falls of my nails in less than a day. It’s frustrating, yet after 2 whole working days, typing, cleaning and all, it’s still intact! I’m amazed. Worth the money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really sheer light pink. If you'd like it to show up more you have to apply 2-3 coats, one coat isn't enough. I really like essie new line of gel polishes. The color lasts longer than the regular polish but not as long as a regular gel manicure at the salon. There is an instant gel-like shine and your nails feel just a little harder than they would with regular polish on top! All opinions are my own. Long lasting!

bought the black long lasting shade since im not working during the current situation and can't wear black nail polish. I was super satisfied with the long longevity of the polish. Decided to buy a more natural shade and im very satisfied with the colour and with proper nail prep and application it really does look like a gel manicure. I used the here to stay base coat, 2 coats of sheer fantasy and then their top coat from the long lasting line. Really satisfied :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This polish was so sheer I could not tell a difference even with 3 coats. Because I layered it up so much it peeled after a couple days. I think that maybe some of the other colors would be a better fit, but for what I look for in a polish this was not a good product for me. The brush is nice, and the consistency is smooth, so I’m sure that a cookie with more pigment would be good. Disclaimer- I received this product for free in exchange for a honest review

Finally a perfect sheer

Not a girly girl. Job requires box opening and removing cellophane wrapping from lots of things. Disastrous for nail color. After four days still looking good. Right index finger is the only one showing any wear, even that is minimal. With one more coat of the top coat I should be able to get a week out of this color. About the color, it's a perfect glossy bare pink. I can't wait to try the fairy tailor color for a perfect beige glossy bare color.

The PERFECT sheer polish!

I have Sheer Fantasy and Fairy Tailor in the gel line, and love both; but Fairy Tailor is more peach and opaque than this shade. Sheer Fantasy is a truly sheer polish (no shimmer) with a “your nails but better” look that’s absolutely perfect for everyday wear. It looks great on long nails in particular. One coat is barely visible, but two coats is enough to give the impression of a very lightly pink French manicure (but it’s not opaque enough to hide stains or imperfections in the nail, so be aware). It’s such a classic look, perfect for a Grace Kelly style outfit. If you don’t need color with your outfit, and just want to look like you were born with perfect nails, this is your shade. It’s quite similar to Mademoiselle from the regular Essie line, with a very faint milkiness after two coats. Gorgeous.
Note: I have cool olive skin.

I like that it gave my nails a clean look with just a hint of color I didn’t coat 3x to try to get it a little opaque. It did give a gel look which I love made my nails look sleek. The brush was perfect and easy to apply so far I love the finish of the nails. I did get this complimentary in my Influenster box to try.

It is more rounded than your average square brush, which make it easier to use. I do my nails often and have tried many different brands of polish, I can honestly say this is the best brush and fastest drying nail polish I have ever used. I hope it is long lasting and doesn't chip easily. If so this will be the only nail polish I buy from now on.

Two coats of this gives good coverage but still a very sheer look. The curve-hugging brush allows for super easy coverage without getting it all over your skin like I typically do. I would definitely recommend this product and will be purchasing the gel couture in more colors. I received this product for free testing.

Long-lasting and pretty sheer color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This color is not one that I would usually choose for myself, but it is a really pretty sheer pink that does require at least 2 or 3 coats in order to be somewhat opaque. The brush has a rounded shape which makes it easy to paint on, and the quality is amazing! I work in a lab and was not expecting it to hold up, but it has been over a week and there are no chips or peeling at all! I received this product for free for testing purposes.

The Sheer Fantasy shade is definitely not my personal favorite, but after putting it on its growing on me. The gel feature really works, it looks like a real gel manicure. I’m amazed at how fast it dries. I did apply two coats of the Sheer Fantasy to make it seem like I had a little bit of the pink showing.

It is not as deep of a pink as in the picture. I needed to apply 3 coats and it still looks like a tinted clear coat. The nail polish does give a gel finish and did not chip for at least a week and a half even though I was at the beach and in a pool. Definitely worth it to buy but I would recommend a different color.

A Long lasting Great millennial pink

I received this product complimentary of Influenster, but all thoughts are my own. My ONLY dislike about the product is that it takes many many coats to get an actual color to pop up on my nail. Granted, the color is “sheer” but that isn’t my style, but it’s noteworthy that after several coats, you do have a beautiful color and it’s not clumpy.

It looks like a gel mani without the UV lamp. I've been wearing mine for 4 days now and no chip yet - even after showering and constantly washing my hands. I've used several ESSIE shades over the years, and I've LOVED them all. But there is a different shape to these bottles which makes them fit PERFECTLY into your hand while holding the bottles and that's something new and unique that I instantly noticed and loved!!! Next is the thickness to the polishes themselves. They deliver such an expensive look to your nails, and that is worth it to me. I didn't notice the drying time to take too long. I used both colors 4 days ago, and i followed the directions on how many coats and I'm IMPRESSED!!! NO CHIPS, NO PEELING, AWESOME COLOR STILL TODAY!! I think if you're looking for an American manicure , DEFINITELY BUY SHEER FANTASY 10, and top it off with a beautiful shine and long lasting effects with a beautiful gel look. Top Coat 00.

The color is very sheer (as indicated by the shade bame). That being said, I love this for an everyday color. A sheer light milky pink color that I can still see the whites of my nails through. I am fair skinned and this would make a natural French manicure easy. It's like your nails but better! The shine is unbelievable but what i wasnt expecting was the strength it added to my nails! I did use Gel Setter top coat and that may have added to the strength. Will be buying other colors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This polish is extremely sheer. I had to put on 4 coats to finally get some color on my nails. If you like sheer then this color is great. If you don’t, then you need to pass. The brush is great. It made it so easy to apply. The gel was great, I didn’t see any bubbles like regular polish can do when you are applying that many layers. I received this product free for testing.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I'm a busy, on the go mom and I don't have time to polish my nails or wait for them to dry. But I received this nail polish for testing purposes and LOVE IT! It's so easy to use. Goes on great. Lasts with my putting it through the ringer. And drys super fast! I will be using this frequently.
