Doesn’t look great on tanner skin tones

I also don’t like how if you wanted to wear it alone without the top (step 2) you would have to add more than two layers to get it to look right. It doesn’t go on like a gel-like polish but it honestly look like and behavior like regular nail polish until you add step 2. Now to the important part for me for any nail polish: does it chip right away?Yes, kind of. The first day I avoided putting my hand in water as much as I usually do, and they held up, but when I washed my hair and did the dishes, they were quick to chip, so I would say avoid much water and wear gloves, and they will last longer.

Essie Gel Couture in Gossamer Garments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just tried Essie Gossamer Garments and it’s such a pretty, soft pink. It’s sheer but buildable, so if you want that clean, natural look, one coat is perfect — but two or three gives you a really pretty, almost jelly-like finish.
It dries pretty fast and the brush makes it easy to apply (even for someone like me who usually makes a mess 😅). I used the Essie Gel Couture top coat with it and it lasted about a week before I saw any chips — which is pretty good for me since I’m constantly washing dishes or chasing kids around.
Only thing is, it’s not super opaque, so if you’re looking for a bold color, this isn’t it. But if you love that clean, classy “your nails but better” look — it’s a winner.

It looks very pretty and natural

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nail polish was such a beautiful soft shade of pink. It looks so natural on my nails and I would probably wear it on its own but since it came as a pack with a chrome top coat I only tested it that way. It dries fairly quickly and is easy to apply an even coat. When it comes to the longevity of it I can only assume it would start coming off just as fast or even faster as it did with the combination of this nail polish and the top coat, which was within a few hours. I am a mom and I'm constantly cooking and cleaning without gloves so I'm attributing this as the main cause as to why it started coming off so soon, so I'm guessing to someone who doesn't use their hands as much it might last longer.

Good neutral shade

It adds a beautiful base layer to my nails and the color is easy to layer on. It’s basic, subtle and pretty transparent. I like it as a first layer, it’s prettier than pictured. Can’t comment too much about comfort or size, it’s standard for a nail product. The brush size is about right, two to strokes and it covers my entire nailbed. I’m using base coat and top coat to make it last longer, I’m hopeful for the durability. Overall a pretty good product.

No amount of shaking the bottle could fix it, so I think that’s just how the polish is supposed to be. I had to do multiple layers of the polish before it even began to show up. It’s just too thin to do anything. If you love the minimalist, barely there polish aesthetic then this might be for you, but it was a no for me. It’s a shame because I like the concept.

Milky pink polish

I like how this polish just takes away a subtle yellow color on the nails. Although I like the benefits of the polish I would wear it by itself, I don’t like it.
Definitely using the top coat.
The polish last about a week then it will start chipping off and peeling off, like in the second pic.

It is quite long-lasting since it is a gel that works with the lamp. The texture is normal like any nail polish and you must keep it well covered so that it doesn't dry quickly. Drying with the lamp is super fast, it is ready in a matter of seconds, it has a beautiful shine and finish, not at all opaque.

This color is definitely wearable on its own if you want a simple, elegant pale pink, but it’s also a nice base for French Manicures or a shimmery/chrome finish. You’ll need a few layers to completely cover the nail, but the polish dries nicely and doesn’t clump.

I found this pink was a little light so I did three coats for full coverage. That being said it did dry fairly quickly for three coats of polish and then a topcoat. I do think it lasted a few days nicely but obviously not as long as a regular gel but that being said, it’s super easy to take off with acetone.

I can also top it off with one of the Essie second step coats like the glazed chrome. It dries quicker than most regular nail polish but still takes some time with multiple coats. It lasts almost a week before some chipping but covering it up with more polish is easy.

Smells was the usual nail polish scent, nothing different in that. Shade range seems huge and packaging looks glamorous and stylish!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has become my new favorite color but even with a top coat, it chips pretty quickly. When you find a color you love, you'll endure it though. Beautiful sheer pink. Took 3 coats, But the color is very soft & elegant. My nails were destroyed from gel nails. Slowing growing back healthier. I love Essie for its thinner consistency and self-leveling ability. Great polish

Long lasting natural beauty!

I love this Essie Gel Couture polish. This color is very neutral and a bit shearer than I expected, but perfect for an every day color. I have almost had it on a week and it is still going strong and still on! I can’t wait to buy more colors. Essie Gel is also VERY easy to apply. It is also very natural looking and not thick like the old fashioned type of gel polish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shades are incredible, the polish is in the color ‘Gossamer Garments’ which is a beautiful pink and the top coat is in ‘Glazed Chrome’ that gives it this nice frost. It’s a long lasting polish and gives that same gel effect that a trip to the salon would give. I want these in every color now! And did I mention that it is vegan, 8 free and never animal tested!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] “Gossamer Garments” is a beautiful light pink sheer polish with a soft cherry tone… it’s perfect for a natural, clean look. It’s easy to apply and looks dreamy on natural nails. You do need to apply a few layers so it doesn’t look streaky. I love that it’s longwear and vegan too! Just make sure you don’t use it on acrylics—it’s made only for natural nails.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful. I did one layer of Gossamar Garmet (which is the prettiest base pink) with one top coat of brushed metal. That's all. These looks beautiful, dainty, delicate. It had a every so slight smell, nothing crazy. I only have one coat of each and they haven't chipped in 3 days. Im eager to try brushed metal over black, it'll probably be beautiful.
