Favorite Nail Polish Brand AND Line

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so happy to receive this product!! Essie Gel Couture has been my absolute FAVORITE nail polish line for the last 2 years. I was so glad to test out this new color. Multifaceted is a gorgeous color. It’s a sheer rose-y pink color. I included a swatch of one coat and two coats, it’s definitely very buildable! The top coat is my favorite top coat i have ever used. Ever since I first started using it 2 years ago, I have never switched to another one. It makes my nails last AT LEAST two weeks, no chipping!! And it makes every at home manicure look like gel. I have so many good things to say about this line. Essie really outdid themselves with this one!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An absolutely stunning soft rose color that is flattering and versatile - enough of a neutral to wear daily while still being unique with its pearly finish. This is a great long-wear nail polish option for in between trips to the salon - fast drying and easy to apply and coat with the gel couture top coat for a beautiful finished shine. Love that it provides lasting color in a more affordable way and the ease of removal vs. typical gel manicures. Reapplying the top coat after 5-7 days keeps the color lasting even longer. Seriously can’t get enough of this shade.

Next best thing to gel nails

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The polish really does appear as smooth and flawless as salon gels. The best part is that you can remove it yourself. I recommend the strongest remover you can find. The color is a burnt orange red with some shimmer and it's perfect for summer or fall. Make sure you use the overcoat in the white bottle or else the Polish will never harden. For me it lasted about 2 days but I work with my hands a lot. I would recommend this product to anyone who wears nail polish. It's the best on the market right now in terms of an inexpensive alternative to salon gel nails.

I’m very disappointed in this product and so surprised at how many good reviews it has. I followed the steps, using no base coat and following the color up with the top coat. The top coat took off layers of the color even after waiting to dry. I still tried it out, the color receded from the tips of my nails despite capping the color and top coat. Then I took off the polish today and it stained my nails! I’m really bummed because I wanted a longwear polish that wouldnt damage my nails to remove like gel does, guess I have to keep looking

Hi there clurr, We wish you could see the results you were hoping for with this softened rose nail color with a gold pearl finish. The Gel Couture top coat should not react with the polish the way you describe. And of course your color should be chip free for well past 1 week. While most users will not see staining, some people are more likely to experience staining from intensely pigmented polish shades. Those with dry nails are especially at risk. If you see staining during polish removal, lightly buff the nail to remove polish residue from the surface of the nail plate. Pretty good gel polish

I just got this today and I really like the color and the shine.
Unfortunately I experienced some chipping about an hour or two after I applied and had to touch up. I think the problem is that I didn't let the polish dry enough before I resumed normal activity. Also I think I used cuticle oil too soon and it may have affected the polish. Since the retouch I haven't had any problems. I let it dry and skipped the cuticle oil. I really like this color because it suits almost any skin tone. I will update in a week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I admit I’m not the best at home manicures but something about the applicators on these polishes but they are SO easy to apply. The color ai got has a pretty gold sheen to it which reflect soooo pretty in the light. The picture is my nails 4 days after painting them using no base coat, 2 coats of the color, and 1 top coat and they look the same as the day I did them. 10/10 reccomend especially if you struggle doing your own nails— cant wait to try more colors!

The color is a pretty coppery pink shade with gold pearl finish. Looks great! Goes well with tan skintones. The color lasted well for a week on me. Packaging is unique and forms a good grip when you hold it. It’s a two-step process to apply: color + top coat. Made in Spain :)

High shine and long lasting

I am at a job that requires a lot of typing and this lasts such a long time (4 days) without chipping. The paintbrush is nice and wide which I love because it made painting my nails easier to do and it dries really fast. I also liked that the nail polish scent wasn't really strong. This is great and I now want to try other colors from this Essie line.

The best drug store gel polish

The top coat can’t be beat it makes such a difference smoothing out the top layer and protecting the color polish from chipping. The color I received to test “Multi-Faceted” is a beautiful rosewood with subtle gold shift! It’s a natural color with a nice flare and only took 2 coats for full coverage. I highly recommend!!!

Holds up against hand sanitizer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product and the top coat free in exchange for my honest review. This was my first time trying this 2 step formula from Essie. I absolutely loved the color Multifaceted - office appropriate but not boring with the golden shimmer. It did require 3 coats for full opacity. The top coat doesn't dry super fast, but does dry very shiny and is very durable. I work in a hospital, and have noticed that hand sanitizer causes quick dry top coats to peel around the edges and pop my manicures off, but this top coat doesn't have that problem in the slightest. I am very impressed by that aspect and feel I have found my optimal work top coat. Even without base coat (as the instructions recommend), the polish lasted around 5 work days, usually polish lasts me around 2 days. I will say that the formula seems thin, and is overall not very self leveling compared to other formulas of polish. Overall, I am very happy to add this polish to my rotation!

The polish glides on smoothly across my nails and hardens pretty quickly as well. After a week, there has been no chipping despite house cleaning, and gardening. This polish is a win in my book will definitely be purchasing it in multiple colors

Some of my fingers polish are now halfway gone at day 5. It works just like a basic cheap nail polish without using a top coat. I would not recommend this!

Lasts good and applies beautifully

I used the seche base coat and out the door top coat and my polish on my left hand hasn’t chipped and it’s been over a week. My right hand has but I am right handed. It’s a beautiful color for me. Kind of like a shimmering nude copper with slight color shifting properties in the sunlight.

It lasted over a week without chipping, which is the longest any nail polish has lasted for me. The only problem I had with is because it is so runny, it was kind of messy to apply.
