A Glossy Glass Finish top coat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received the Essie Glass Nail Collection in the shade Effet Verre. It is more of a fuchsia shade with blue undertones. It has a glossy finish and is translucent, not a full-coverage regular nail polish. It gives a salon-like glossy look when applied over your favorite base coat.I liked the texture and the glossy finish it offers, but the shade I chose does not suit my skin tone. It would look much better on fair skin tones. The collection also has many nude shades to choose from.Another thing I noticed is that wearing it alone will not give you that fancy salon look. For better results, apply it over a base color.

Brand names products do make a big difference in quality. Apply is too easy because nail polish glides on without effort. Dry quick within 3-5 mins. Stays on long and glue on long until wipe off and no smudge cracks afterwards. What I love most about this is the natural feel and the vernis glass feel. The color is 187 full blown is just very beautiful and perfect for this holiday season. Christmas is coming and I have a list of shopping for fragrance and skincare. I a high maintenance luxury brand chic that loves everything luxury. I highly recommend this product

Great formula

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must admit this was not my favorite nail polish brand. They used to be streaky on my nails. I had to apply multiple layers to get the shade to my liking. But now idk if they changed the formula or what but I actually liked it! I loved the brush head way better than the old one. Made applying the nail polish way easier and faster. It went on so smooth and not streaky at all. By the way this was applied on PRESS ONS! So it works on them too. This was like 3 or 4 layers to get to this color. They dried pretty fast too. The color looks like it would be red but it came out more like a fuchsia which it’s ok to me.

Candy like result

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This comes in a standard Essie brush. I loved the consistency of the polish. It dried quickly. I started off with one coat but it was very “see through.” I could still see my own nail underneath. So I did a second layer and realized that’s just what this nail polish is. It’s not supposed to be a solid color, it has a glassy sheer to it. Almost candy-like. The nail polish did dry pretty thick despite me applying a normal amount of polish, which wouldn’t be a problem usually but this caused it to peel easier, like a wax strip, just one clean pull. So I think the best way to use this is to do one single coat.

Sheer glass shiny polish!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the opportunity try essie Glass Nails nail polish. I applied 2 coats and the result is a sheer red color which looks like you are looking through red
glass. You can see your natural nails through the color. It didn’t last as long as I would have liked as it started chipping a few days after I applied it. That said, I do the dishes and general household cleaning without wearing gloves so others may find that it wears longer. Because use it was sheer I found it a little challenging to ensure the coverage was even. It came off easily with nail polish remover. I would likely try this nail polish in a pink shade instead of this red but it was a pretty color that I know others will love.

The dry time is so quick after every coat that you are able to start on the second or third coat right after you get done polishing both hands. The color is buildable so you can have it be just a hint of color or you can apply additional coats to make it a deeper color. It has lasted me 2 days of house cleaning and washing dishes with zero chips so far! Not only are there no chips but the shine is the same as it was when I first painted my nails! The color Full Blown is such a pretty color!

Beautiful nails

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nail polish gives that “glass look” effect. It’s not opaque and has a thick jelly-like consistency. The color is stunning and I got compliments on it. Because of the thickness, it was easy to apply. However, to get the shade I wanted, I did have to use 3-4 coats. It took forever to dry, naturally. I’m not a fan of the sheer colors because they usually show the dirt under my nails and look streaky. But this was good enough after many coats. One complaint I do have is that it did not last more than 2 days without chipping. I did not use a base or top coat, though.

Pretty color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I liked the vibe this gave me, it is a sheer jelly nail polish. I wanted it to be a nice pale almost see through, but because it went on quite patchy and uneven in the first coat I had to add a second. That made it much more opaque than I, personally, was hoping for but I still liked the overall effect it had. I think topped with a shimmer it will be stunning and it's going to definitely get a ton of use in the spring.
I do think jelly gloss formulas are a bit harder to work with, at least for me-- but this one lasted a good amount of time.

Cute but not my favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The formula for this one is interesting, it's not a creme polish and goes on more sheer. I haven't tried jelly polish before but this has the same concept where it is sheer and you need to apply more coats for more coverage. In the photo, I applied 4 coats of the glass nail polish and it looked pretty. I feel like this would look better on someone with shorter nails where you can't see the growth. To me, I don't like being able to see where my nails have grown over my nailbed. However, the next day, it chipped on my middle finger which was weird because I don't use my middle finger to open cans or anything like that.
The color is bright and fun, but I'm not a big fan of the formula. I'll use this from time-to-time but it's not my top choice.

Not a huge fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Essie polishes, they have a variety of shades to choose from so of course I was thrilled to try this one out. I received the shade “full blown” from their glass nails line.
Unfortunately, I did not like this look. I don’t like the idea of being able to see my lunula & free edge, it just feels unfinished (I applied base + 2 coats+ top coat. Maybe a 3rd coat of polish would’ve made a difference ? - I think this would look great on acrylic nails though!)
If you’re using it on your natural nail, I would recommend using a white polish as a base before applying this polish to give it a more solid look. (I did this on one of my nails, let’s see if you can spot it)
It does dry pretty quick and the brush is the perfect size for application.

Glossy nail color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Essie glass nails nailpolish bottle looks attractive and nailpolish is easy to apply. Unlike typical glass nailpolish, it’s easily removed with nailpaint removers hence it would not destroy nails. The nail color is not opaque but is transparent and glossy dark pink, even though bottle looks more red.
Before I applied nailpaint, I applied Essie base nail coat and then the nail-polish. The nail-polish is watery so unless you remove extra in bottle, it’s drop is going to fall on your nails. What I don’t like is that it’s staying power is poor on active hand which is my right hand. After applying it, it started chipping within 3-4 hours and I didn’t do housework, only I’ve just washed my hands in this time period. Also the scent feels too strong initially.

Pretty Finish but Slow Drying Time

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because it took a long time to dry for me, much longer than I expected. I’m not sure why, but I had to wait quite a while before I could use my hands normally.
Overall, I still like it and plan to keep using it because the final look is beautiful, but I do wish it dried faster.

Perfect Summer Polish

And it lasted longer than 5 days for me (even after washing dishes and other cleaning). The color reads more pink than magenta on me, but I feel it would make pretty polish for the summer. Now this is a sheer polish. I prefer 2 coats, but I know the color will never be opaque. You will see nail line which works for me since I like sheer jelly polishes.

I applied 3 coats to get better coverage I like. I have naturally long nails, so you can see them underneath. I like a full coverage nail, and this gives jelly nail pigmentation. It is shiny but not as shiny as if I were to put a top coat. It is nice and would like to try a nude color. But I do like a full coverage nail polish. I am glad to try this color and finish!

Smooth buildable and bright

I never tried the glass nails trend which is a high shine, reflective finish to mimic glass. This look is achieved using sheer jelly polish.
Full Blown is described as a glassy translucent magenta pink with yellow undertones. Directions are to apply a base coat, 2-3 coats of polish and finish with a top coat.
I love this sheer, vegan formula. Essie’s formula applies smoothly and results in even, sheer coats of color. As you can see from the photos, this buildable sheer polish gives excellent results regardless of how many coats are applied. This is a great color for spring and summer and I look forward to trying the other colors in this collection.

The Color Doesn’t Even Out.

I had to apply three coats on each nail to achieve more color and a somewhat even finish. However, the polish still appears uneven and very sheer, leaving some areas looking almost transparent. I was disappointed with this product and would not recommend it.

While I wear gloves in patient care, I use Essie Glass Nails for a light "rose-pinkish" look in 1-3 coats and not appear out of sorts. For a fun "feeling myself" moment, I can add coats, 4+ to achieve a "full blown" red look.
I like the versatility and the overall see-through look. While I have not experimented with nail jewels/art, I'm assuming it would it would work fine.

It dried within a half hour. My pointer finger on my right hand chipped after 36 hours but I was typing & clicking away at work. My left hand is still going strong. If you’ve thought about trying this brand I recommend. I probably could have done more coats of this color but I was in a rush lol

It’s translucent enough to still see the natural nail tip (which I like), but bright! This only adds a lightly colored sheen to the nail. Not an actual paint. It feels like any other polish I've used. Definitely not worth the price. Seems more suitable for a small child than an adult. Hi there tgarcia4u_5484, thank you for sharing your pic and your experience with the new Glass Nail color. Your nails look great BTW! And you are right, glassy translucent color is on the sheer side and a different look than the opaque cream colors. For best results, first, apply 1 coat of your favorite essie base coat. Then, apply 2 thin coats of essie Glass Nails nail polish, add a third if needed to reach your desired opacity. Finish your mani with 1 coat of any essie top coat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Essie Glass Nails is shiny and beautiful. The texture is nice and smooth. There’s no chipping that I can tell. There’s no Bubbles while on my nails or while applying. The nail polish is nice and thick. It’s a very pretty color. Perfect for the Christmas season. Essie has the prettiest colors. I am going to be wearing this shade very often this season.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love essie nail polish. This glass nails polish is very pretty. The polish is thick and smooth. It glides on easily without a mess. The applicator brush is big enough to cover my whole nail. I love how the shade can be built up from light to dark pink to dark. Once dried, my nails are shiny and feel great. This definitely is great quality.
