Effervescence with Effort

Was surprised by the reviews on here so I decided to add my own. Personally, I love this; yes it's a bit light, so I go with two coats on a dark color to make it stand out much more (plus a top coat to smooth out the texture). My recommendations are pairing this with Leather Weather, Licorice, On Mute, Garden Variety, Choreo Queen, even Watermelon is fun... and my personal favorite? Air Dry; it reminds me of a rainy day. So yes, this takes a bit to work, but the results are beautiful :D

What sparkle?

Sadly this is probably the worst polish I’ve ever gotten from Essie! Firstly, there is no payoff, you can’t see the sparkles at all. It is mainly clear polish with some chonky blue flakes here and there. It is invisible unless you’re shining a flashlight directly on it, even then it’s pretty tough to see. Though they provide little to no visual effect the flakes certainly affect the nail texture, leaving an unpleasant surface texture while pilling up the base polish and peeling it off, even though I allowed time for the base layers to dry and used an Essie polish. It doesn't seem to dry at all, I applied it 6 hours ago and it’s still rather tacky and easy to scuff up, the stuff was a nightmare the first couple of hours. I usually love these kinds of topcoats, layered or alone but this one ain’t it.

You would use both the gel couture color and the specially formulated top coat. The gel couture nail polish brush is designed for even polish lay down and fits the curvature of your cuticle. Disappointment

I am very disappointed with this polish. I bought it expecting the effect to look just as vibrant on my nails as it does on the bottle, but it fell far short. When applied, it seems to shine for the first few hours, but over time, it becomes dull and even develops a yellowish tint. The flakes make the nails feel rough, and the polish starts to peel. It's terrible. I hope they improve the formula to make it truly shine and perform better.

Not worth the money

Can barely see it. When the light is not reflecting the shimmer looks like yellow plastic bits on my nails
