Was really excited to try this base coat as normally my nail varnish doesn't last long at all , I loved how the brush was quite thick and realy glided over my nail. I loved how the clear base made my natural nail super shiny and it dried really quick too! After applying a colour nail varnish on top the colour stayed on much longer then usual! I was really pleased with the result and will be recommending this to my family and friends.

I'm so happy,that I got this Base coat. I use it a few times and I can truly say,it's really good. Like the look of the packing,really nice and comfortable brush to use. First time I applied only one coat,and still was alright. But then I decided to apply 2 coats,like it is adviced on the packing. And I can say it's brilliant! It does what it has to do.

This Essie Base Coat is a fairly thin consistently and it goes on easily and It dries quickly I applied two coats of color. Both went on easily with very little streaking on the first coat. Since the base coat dried quickly, it didn't take long for the two coats of color to dry as well. This base seems to have a finish that helps the color layers to adhere and go on easier. I used a different brand of polish for the color and it seemed to react well with the Base coat.
I don't normally use a base coat but I will definitely start using one now it really makes a difference this product is brilliant.

The essie basecoat is great, firstly is has a large brush so gets a good area of the nail meaning I had completed my basecoat on both nails in under 1 minute.
It drys fast too !
The finish product though for me was the best, once I had added a colour over the top, the shine it gave off was so lovely!!

Didn’t budge!!

My essie nail polish didn’t budge for 8 days after using this base coat, now I wouldn’t paint my nails without it. It leaves my nails feeling nourished and healthy. It also strengthens my nails and helps them to grow a little!! Love this product.

Essie nail care is of great innovative quality. It provides a barrier to prevent nails from staining by smoothly bonding the colour to your nails. After using it I felt more feminine & confident showing my beautiful nails. Highly recommended!

I have never really used a base coat before, being naive I never saw the point. Oh how my mind has been changed! Upon the smooth application and wearing my desired colour on top, my nail varnish stayed well and truly in place.I am forever washing up and scrubbing the bathroom/kitchen etc and it took about 4 days to get the tiniest chip in my polish it's mental. Also when I removed the varnish to change colour my nails were still in good shape! I tend to find after wearing varning my nails end up weak and flimsy but this was not the case. I will never ever not wear this base coat again when painting my nails. Also when applying the base coat there wasn't and extremely over bearing odur which is a total plus with 2 autistic children sensitive to smell in the house.

I got this Essie nail care base coat as it was recommended by one of my friends and i must say i was really surprised how good it is the product is very easy to apply before applying the nail polish the base is protecting the nail from discolouration and is keeping nail polish chipping away for longer definitely one of my favourite products which im gonna keep love it recommend to anyone

Fantastic base coat!

I have had this product for a couple of weeks now. It covers very well and is a nice texture to paint on nails. It's a great base coat that isn't too thick and has a lovely shine to it. I paint my nails a couple of times a week and am particularly impressed with the stain prevention as I like dark nail colours. I will definitely be buying it again in the future!

This definitely works. When I use polish I am lucky if it lasts a day. This extended that to 3 days. It may not sound much but I imagine for those who say their polish lasts 3-5 days then this would take that over a week. It is an excellent ridge filler. Dries fast and made my polish look really even and a great finish. Would highly recommend.

Great base coat for nail polish. Seemed to give my nails a good condition and provided a longer lasting experience with my colour.
Easy to apply and runs nice and smooth so you only need one layer.
Went swimming a few times and polish showed no signs of chipping which happens with some other nail polishes I use.
I would recommend.

I absolutely love Essie Nail Care Here to Stay Nail Polish Base Coat I got it to try and couldn't believe how nice it made my nails look. The nail polish gave my nails a beautiful shine and dried really quickly and smoothly.
I didn't even want to put a colour on the base coat as I loved how healthy it made my nails look and feel

This base coat is very easy to apply, dries really fast and covers really well. It did actually help prevent my nail varnish from chipping too and it lasted a couple of extra days which was a bonus! It also helped stop the more vibrant and darker nail polishes from staining my nails.

Unless I use gel polish I can't get nail polish to stay on my nails, I mean usually I can paint my nails and not even 5 minutes later I've already got a chip! Using the base coat and the licorice polish I managed to get to day 5 before I got a chip so I was pretty impressed.

I brought this a while ago for my mother as she loves bright nail varnish but it always stains her nails underneath and never lasts very long, this has changed her game! She used this base coat and her polish lasts so much longer and doesn't stain her natural nails at all!

This is an easy to apply base coat and has prevented the polish from staining my nails. Great for use on any colour but especially on those brighter colours that tend to stain. Paired with the colour and top coat it creates a beautiful long lasting coat of polish.

I have rough looking nails most of the time and after a quick file and a coat of base coat my nails looked fairly even I have the odd dents in my nails and this seemed to fill and perfect them a little before using a nail vanish. Quick to apply and quick to dry.

This base coat is fantastic. It helps prevent nail polish staining your nails. I’ve also noticed that my nail polish lasts longer when using this base coat and my nail polish applied with a smoother finish! The brush is wide which makes for easy application too!

This base coat leaves your nails feeling strong whilst prolonging the wear of the colour on top! This base coat helps to prevent the nail polish used over the top from chipping and I would definitely recommend this product if you want your nail colour to last.

This base coat is pretty efficient. It is very easy to apply and dries really fast. I was amazed as how long it held my top coats and prevent from chipping. I find that base coats are essential to maintain healthy nails and this product did pretty good.

I've been using this base coat for a few weeks, and have been really pleased with the outcome! It's helped stop staining on my nails when I wear brighter colours, and has improved how long my polish lasts, I can generally go a week with no chipping!

As a nase coat it takes a little longer to dry than expected. Made my gems for my nails a little harder to stay put too
However once its dry its solid and doesnt chip easily. Being a working mum to a toddler on my own i really pushed it too

Good thick polish. Smudges our and bumps or smears. Lasts long. Even works over gel colour. Will last long on feet especially. Doesn’t smell too strong which is good. Decent price and will last long. Probably best top coat base I’ve purchased

Absolutely brilliant base coat dries superfast and smells pleasant not chemically in smell which is a bonus. I applied a red over the top and when it came to removing my nails weren't stained and looked healthy. Truly a really Epic product

It’s taken 3 days for nail polish to chip after applying this. The brush is rounded at the bottom which is perfect shape for application. I just used one coat, and it didn’t take too long to dry.
Makes polish easy to remove as well.

I love this product as it's really gentle on my nails, as well as providing a good base for the rest of my polish routine to go on top of. The polish stayed on for 7 days after I used this first so I will definitely be using it again.

I have only used this product as a base layer twice. I bought it to protect my nails from staining and to keep the varnish from chipping. It’s managed to do a good job for both requirements so all in all a great all rounder for me.

I have pleasure to test this base and im very satisfy with it. I Wear this for nearly 2 weeks. My nails after remove looks even better. Looks nice and healthy. I reccomend that for girls who dont have time for gel nail. It fast.

The box says it helps polish last for 2 extra days but I found mine stayed on for much longer (even through washing up and hair washing) which I was really pleased about! Didn’t get a chip for 5 days and even then it was small!

Does the job, sets the nail well for an even coat of colour, I think it helps the nail varnish last longer as I am quite hardy with my hands and definitely felt I got a few days longer than I normally would, I would recommend.

I brought this 2 years ago because I needed a good base coat to put my nail varnish on top of but I’ve used various ones before which have been rubbish but this is on its brill m, it’s great coverage and the right consistency

when applying this it was so easy to use it went on nice and smoothly and set rather quickly it made it easy for me to apply colour and helped make the colour stay on longer then normal. loved it and will recommend to anyone

This is the Perfect base coat for any nail varnish, the smell isn't to strong, my nails were protected from the different colours applied over the base colour. And with a top coat applied the varnishes held well. Very happy

This product dries very quickly on your nails and is easy to apply. It definitely seemed to reduce nail staining from the colour that I put on and the colour lasted a bit longer than usual. I would recommend this product.
