Great polish

I've been sent 2 nail polishes from the obsessies app to try. The first 1 is a 80% plant based nail colour doin' my best.
It's a beautiful teal colour.
it looks great on 1 minute it looks more blue the other more green I really like it.
80 % plant based but still the same quality as regular polish, it lasted all week which is what I expected and was easy to apply. I would definitely purchase this myself
The second is a Stay longer clear high shine top coat that protects your varnish from chips for upto 7 days it's quite quick drying and leaves a beautiful high shine which I liked. I often use nail transfer stickers so need a good top coat. I'm very happy with both of these nail varnishes.

Mind bending colour!

The formula is excellent in that it is the perfect consistency, self levelling and has surprisingly quick dry time, much quicker than the regular Essie polishes. It is also nicely pigmented, non streaky and offers full opacity in two coats. The shade Make The Move is described as a 'deep earthy plum-toned purple' however it appears more of a brown colour with a hint of purple, in full sun the purple is more noticeable. It is a really unique, unusual shade and I have nothing else like it in my collection. I think it is very much of a marmite shade and a grower.

LOVE the new LOVE collection

I loved trying out the new 80% plant based formula - it’s brilliant and feels pretty much indistinguishable from the regular Essie formula! I have the shade ‘Make the move’, and it’s a gorgeous dark purple with grey hues, really delicious. Love the packaging too - the LOVE logo is really pretty and the different shade brush top/lid is so aesthetically pleasing (and I imagine is made from recycled plastic - win!). How amazing that a nail polish could be made from 80% plant sources like sugar cane, corn and cotton - so clever. Surely the future of nail varnish?!

Fabulous colour - as always!!

I received my new favourite shade of green from the 'Love' range and it's got the best name ever - 'doin' my best'. And, to be fair, it does what it says in the name. The colour is even better after the second coat, and is perfectly complimented by the consistency and shine that makes the product easy to use, and with great results! I love the 'Love' range, (along with all the original colours of course!) and the quality of the product. There's only one problem I can find.... now I'm going to have to look forward to trying ALL the other colours as well!!

Stunning collection!

I am very impressed by the new plant based range, I believe essie is the first to come up with something like this? I was reading about the new collection online and omg it's so environmentally friendly! What amazed me is the fact that the formula is derived from sugarcane, corn, and cotton. Even the bottle itself is made from 25% recycled glass. Hats off to essie for making such an outstanding collection!
The colours are amazing too, I hope more colours get added to the collection. It felt great that the nail polish didn't have any nasty chemicals or the usual ingredients that are found in any nail polish. as always, the application was a breeze, the colour was very pigmented, and the base/top coat did a fantastic job at prolonging wear time.

Fast drying and it lasts !

I received the self love pink along with the base and top coat.
Firstly I was impressed with the brush. It made application very easy and smooth.
I love the colour. The polish is easily applied and the top coat gives your nails a fabulous shine. In fact, my daughter, thought it was gel polish.
Lastly but most importantly, the polish stayed on with no chipping or flaking. I washed up and everything and it lasted a week. Very impressed and looking forward to collecting more colours.

I was absolutely blown away with the fact that this nail polish is 80% plant based! It definitely stands out as it do not have that slightly unpleasant smell which some nail varnishes have. This nail polish has really easy, smooth application, and colour is amazing. It has subtle shine, which I like. I strongly recommend layering this Love nail polish together with a base and top coat, I think it does make a difference in order to protect it and last longer.

Doin my best is key to success

I was lucky to try the lovely duo set of 2 beautiful colours of doin my best and a love by essie top coat and base. the fact it's 80 % plant based really impressed me and the four of doin my best was a lovely shade. it lasted for days and people complimented me on the shade. the top base was the perfect supplement to keep my nail colour going for longer! Both were out shiners for me and smashed it out the park in the sense of being up to 85 % plant based.

Fantastic formula and colour

I tried the shade ‘make the move’ and it is a beautiful mauve that is very flattering and quite unique. The plant-based formula is fantastic, it applies evenly and effortlessly,”. I do apply a second coat but honestly it’s not necessary, especially if you are following with a clear topcoat. The polish lasted very well, with no chips or peeling for quite a few days. I absolutely love this new Essie line and would highly recommend it.

Got to try the green one and I didn't have high hopes but omg I was wrong! It lasted as long as a normal nail polish. It lasted for over a week and less than 2weeks. Ease of application and coverage was really nice. love the brush as well. Only downside it wasn't as shiny as I wanted or gel like (which tbf didn't state it would be) but its just my preference. Overall decent and performs just as well as a normal nail polish.

I am a huge lover of Essie and I was. dry excited at the prospect of 80% natural nail polish. I love that it has no nasties and the colour itself is so lovely. A perfect warm, nude purple. It looks classic on my olive skin, like a nude but just more pizzazz. The wearability is great also. Paired with the top coat, my nails lasted well and left a great shine too. I will be checking out more of this collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nail polish is very interesting to me. The natural ingredients and being vegan really had me wondering how it would perform. Upon opening the bottle, there is virtually no difference in smell or thickness of paint. It went on smoothly and covered in my regular 2 coat application. The only thing I really noticed is that the formula is less shiny than regular polish. The staying power seems decent but it did seem to take a bit longer to dry. Overall, this is a good option for people who are looking for products with less chemicals in them!

Can't find a better formula than this!

First of all, the application is super smooth and easy, which is wonderful since I tend to paint my nails quite messily. It dries down really fast so you do not have to worry about accidentally smudging it within ten minutes of applying it. They actually also last a while and don't chip as easily as the rest of my nail polishes, meaning more value for money which is essential right now aha!

Lovely colour, opaque formula and plant-based!

Looking for a new nail polish I noticed a new Essie range in Superdrug. Essie is my go to so I had to try one of these. I chose 'get it girl', a rich, slightly dusty pink. This polish is excellent. It covers in one coat but to a richer, deeper colour in two. It is glossy and bright. And it's plant based and is better for your nails. I'm now looking at the other colours!

The shade doin' my best is a gorgeous teal green. It's highly pigmented and two coats give a beautiful rich colour and shine. The application is super easy due to the larger sized brush and it's easy to coat the nail in a couple of swipes.
I love that this collection is 80% plant based. It also didn't have a strong fragrance when applying, which was nice.

I was sent these to review. A top/base coat, which was clear, made my nails super glossy, and protected from staining. It also made my nails look healthy when worn on its own. I also got a gorgeous grey/teal colour, called 'doin my best'. It's a beautiful colour, perfect for every day, and after 1+ week of wearing it, it has minimal chipping. Both great!

I received this a few weeks ago and I’ve not stopped using it since! I absolutely love it. The formula is beautiful and coverage amazing. Two coats and your ready to go. The shade was also the most dreamy dark pink nude I’m just in love! I work in construction and two coats and a top coat of the 7 day Essie top coat and it lasts all week no chips etc!

Vibrant beautiful colour

I’m so happy I was chosen to test Love collection - I love it. Colour is so vibrant, looks beautiful on nails, I had so many compliments. People was asking me about this colour. So easy to apply, nice brush, only two coats is enough to bring lovely colours. After all i applied top coat and nails looks more shiny- same like from nail salon! Amazing.

This nail polish is such a beautiful colour that's perfect for spring and summer. It's easy to apply, dries quickly and it lasts quite well . I love it so much that I'm going to buy the rest of the shades in this collection.

I love this shade, it's such a nice colour, the formula dries really fast and looks nice and shiny but I found it difficult to apply. The brush seemed too wide and square so I found it hard to apply the polish in the lower corners and struggled to get a nice neat line around the cuticle. Perhaps with a bit more practice I could do better, or if I try using a smaller brush instead. I loved the colour I just found it really difficult to make it look neat with the brush supplied.

I've used Essie in the past and wasn't a fan. After using this one I've changed my mind. This one is great! Not only the color/colors it gives off is so pretty! It looks like three different colors in different lighting(pink,orange and red). This one has lasted on my toes for two weeks now, even after swimming!!!

It's a beautiful red and I'm impressed that it is 80% plant based.
I got this a few weeks back and have used it twice now. I work in retail, so I'm constantly typing things in. This nail polish has lasted a week without chipping, which is impressive with my job.

I was expecting it to be less pigmented because it's 80% plant based however it being plant based just makes it more healthy and less smelly than other polishes. It lasts a long time without chipping away as well. The at home manicure I did last 7 days before beginning to chip off.

Durable and long lasting polish

I love that this nail polish is 80% plant based and yet it lasts as normal polish, is high quality and durable.
This shade is gorgeous, bright and suits to so many outfits.
The application is easy and comfortable, the applicator brush covers nails very good and does not leave any lines.
Overall I’m pleased with the quality and durability. I would recommend.

It also doesn't have a strong chemical odor which is important to me since I am sensitive to smells. Unique colour and easy application!

I received this polish and absolutely love the colour, I haven’t seen anything like it before with the same undertones. A really wearable dark neutral. The application is really smooth and easy, and the wear time is the same as most dark colours - cannot get 7 days no chips but maybe around 4/5 and I would be ready to repaint after a week.

Great colour and coverage

I have been using the new love collection for a couple of weeks now. I've got to say it's the best nail polish I have used for a long time. The colour selection is good and the coverage is great. It is a very hard wearing polish with not needing to many touch ups. The price point is great and not to expensive and the packaging is nice.

I received a bottle of 'Doin My Best' from the new Essie Love Collection which is a gorgeous Forest Green colour. I'm really impressed with the depth of colour, It had great coverage and I feel I could have easily gotten away with one coat. It lasted a good few days before chipping and the formula was smooth and easy to apply.

I wouldn't know it was different to the non-plant-based line! The formula was very easy to apply and was opaque in 2 coats with good self-levelling. The bottle looks great amongst the collection, the cap makes it stand out just enough. The brush is a good shape and width to paint the whole nail with minimal strokes.

I loved the Essie nail polish first of all how elegant and chic the bottle was made it stand out the crowd from other brands. Plus I love when applying it the brush was longer and made application so smooth and even. a small amount of product went a long way. It left my nails looking radiant and bright I loved it

Amazing nail varnish

I recieved these nail varnishes as part of obsessies community.
I absolutely loved them, they applied to easily and the nail varnish lasted all week with no chipping. I got lots of compliments on my nails.
The nail varnishes are also 80% plant based and great value.
I have already purchased in other shades.

It’s Vegan and 80% plant based so I was curious whether the formula would be as good as usual Essie polishes and wow it certainly is! Dries quickly, lovely opaqueness after two coats! The only thing I would say is make sure you don’t skip wearing a base coat or you nails may stain blue- I found out the hard way!

Really loved this nail polish! The application is smooth and sleek, no streaks and lasts a long time. I was really pleased with this formula as it didn’t chip which is a must for me! The shade was super vibrant and very much what I usually would buy! Really pleased with this polish and would recommend it!

I am absolutely loving this nail polish and I am really impressed with the overall quality. The polish provides lovely colour after just one coat and dries quickly which is great. I love the fact it’s sustainable as it’s 80% plant-based! It’s a fantastic nail polish and I would definitely recommend.

It’s such a beautiful red tone and pairs well with my skin tone. I have tried this nail polish and firstly must say the bottle is gorgeous. The colour really is deep and goes on well only needed on coat and nail colour came through well. Also had compliments from my friends at work.
The polish itself lasted the whole week and no chips or streaks.
