The Perfect, Classy Red

I've had this color for over a year (can't wait to repurchase it) and I must say, it is one of my favorite colors EVER. The rich tones of this red remind me of something out of a Rococo painting that drips with the royal hues of deep reds. Putting on this nail polish made me feel like I was ready to strut down the runway, even in my pajamas. The creamy look of this color gives it a softness that deep colors often lose, making it the perfect color for any occasion. This is my favorite red and my favorite polish, no one should ever live without it!

Lovely colour, lasted a long time.

I've been eyeing this colour in the store for a while and I was incredibly happy that I received this as a product to try. The colour is lovely and the perfect shade of red. The polish lasted an entire week before chipping; however, it was a bit streaky with only two recommended coats. I used gel setter on top of it and it gave the colour that gel like appearance!

Gorgeous Colour!

I am such a fan of deep reds, pinks, and purples, so this colour was a must-have for me. The colour is rich and vibrant with red and pinkish tones. Sometimes it looks like a dark red, while other times it looks more plummy red and purple. Having worn it alone and with another colour, I can say that both provided fun options! I will definitely be keeping this polish on my list for the future.

Sweetly sophisticated red

The colour is terrific. I didn't always get on well with red polishes: they often have a yellow undertone that doesn't play well with my fair/cool skin, many dark reds bring out too much blue in my hands, and, eh, some just look trampy, which has its place but isn't what I was going for here...
This is a charming red, a very pretty shade that is so classic that it just says "classic" and not "HEY LOOK, RED NAILS!!" On shorter nails it is akin to a pearl necklace.
The other thing to love about "a list" is that the formula is *terrific*! Stupid-easy to apply. I do admit that, yes, it does lean towards sheer and thin, but if you don't mind doing three coats (sometimes two will do), it goes on so impeccably neatly -- which is so critical for a darker shade -- that I feel the formulation is perfect for the colour. A+, a list.

I bought pret-a-surfer. I have never worn a periwinkle color before. Beautiful color, no streaking, wore for days without chipping! I hope they keep this color beyond summer. I have reviewed tons of compliments, even from strangers! I used ever glaze gel top coat over this, I would like to try Essie's equivalent product. Essie has the most beautiful colors that are true to color of the bottle!

i love the nail brush, it gets into the tinest corners of the nail. And the finish is very professional with a glossy shiny look. This is the first time i've used Essie nail colour as many of the other nail brands were either streaky, poor brush applicator and didn't have a nice finish to it. I will be trying many more colours.

Bright red, thin

This is such a beautiful, classic red. It is quite bright so that's a little much on my pale (slightly red) hands. The jelly thin formula requires a 2-3 generous coats to be opaque which isn't what I was expecting from a description including the word "creamy". It is a great, traditional red with excellent staying power.

When you are looking for a bold colour that isn't too out there this red is always a classic. It does not become the center of attention unless you want it to. Formula of essie polishes glides on easily for easy foolproof application. I tested this free product from influenster for my honest review

I received this color from Influenster and am absolutely in love with it! It is the perfect classic red. If I had to wear one red shade for the rest of eternity, this would be it! It takes three thin coats to get the most of the color, but it dries quickly when applied thinly. Thanks Essie!!

Often I think that red on lips and nails is way too much! But this color is so beautiful next to the skin and goes with all skin tones that I’ve tried it on. It looks very classy and expensive and I highly recommend it.

The color is pretty great, although I feel like it's more pink than red. It has that candied apple color. When I tried it, it came out very opaque and had this almost watery consistency and color.

This is my go-to colour for spring and summer. Beautiful colour, not too bright. I change this colour with Fishnet Stockings (great allrounder) and Bordeaux in Autumn/Winter.
